You will own the toddler classroom at Harmony Early Learning Center, shaping daily experiences for up to 12 children in their most formative years. You will craft age-appropriate curriculum and activities, track each child's developmental milestones, and partner with parents to ensure consistent support. What You'll Do7
- 1Plan and execute developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that spark curiosity and growth.
- 2Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that meets New Jersey childcare standards.
- 3Monitor each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, and adjust activities to support individual needs.
- 4Communicate daily with parents and guardians through daily logs and parent-teacher conferences.
- 5Maintain accurate records of child progress, attendance, and developmental milestones in learning management software.
- 6Collaborate with co-teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience and smooth transitions.
- 7Uphold strict health and safety protocols, including regular sanitization and hazard checks.
Requirements5
- 12+ years experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
- 2Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3Hands-on knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) for toddler-age children.
- 4Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- 5Ability to meet all NJ childcare licensing requirements, including background checks and training hours.
