You will lead a toddler classroom at Lightbridge Academy, delivering the Seedlings curriculum and managing daily operations for up to 8 children. You will work with a team of Assistant Teachers and report to the Center Director. What You'll Do10

  • 1Plan and implement daily lesson plans based on the Seedlings curriculum, setting clear classroom goals.
  • 2Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom that supports social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.
  • 3Engage with each child actively, supervising indoor and outdoor play while adhering to staff-to-child ratios.
  • 4Track child progress through the Lightbridge Journey App, updating sleep, feeding, and safety logs weekly.
  • 5Provide basic care including diapering, feeding, and supporting bathroom routines for toddlers.
  • 6Use positive reinforcement and redirection to guide behavior, following the Discipline Policy.
  • 7Coach and mentor Assistant Teachers, conducting performance reviews and team meetings.
  • 8Build trust with families through daily updates, biannual conferences, and prompt responses.
  • 9Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and administer first aid or medication as needed.
  • 10Maintain accurate classroom documentation and attend required trainings and center events.

Requirements9

  • 1Child Development Associate (CDA) or Associate's Degree in education or related field; Bachelor's preferred.
  • 21+ year of child care experience, with classroom experience strongly preferred.
  • 3CPR and Safe Infant Sleep (SID) certified, or willing to become certified.
  • 4Proficient with tablets, smart devices, Microsoft Word, and the Lightbridge Journey App.
  • 5Strong verbal and written communication skills for connecting with children, families, and teams.
  • 6Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and adapt to varied learning needs.
  • 7Creative and energetic approach to lesson planning and classroom activities.
  • 8Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds (occasionally 60 pounds), stand, walk, bend, and engage in outdoor play.
  • 9Willingness to pursue continuing education per state and company requirements.
