Title Processor, Real Estate & Title Insurance
Overview
You own the title processing pipeline at Raven Title Services LLC in Baltimore, MD, managing 40-60 files monthly. You work onsite with a close-knit team of pre-processors, settlement processors, and post-closing agents, reporting to the Managing Title Examiner. This role stands out for its direct mentorship from senior underwriters and a clear path to Senior Processor within 18 months.
What You'll Do6
- 1Verify property title records, ownership, public records, deeds, leases, surveys, contracts, and agreements to produce a clear title.
- 2Enter and submit title and loan documents into SoftPro or similar software to track applicant progress.
- 3Liaise with the pre-processor to ensure all items are complete, with the settlement processor to confirm settlement figures, and with the post-closing agent to record the transaction and resolve outstanding issues.
- 4Work with the title examiner and underwriter to prepare title insurance policies, binders, and commitments.
- 5Coordinate with the loan closer to prepare final real estate settlement statements.
- 6Follow all closing instructions per the closing package, and verify all underwriting commitments are satisfied with the loan officer and mortgage processor.
Requirements7
- 12+ years experience in title processing or title insurance.
- 21+ year using SoftPro or TitlePoint for document management.
- 3Strong research skills with public records and county clerk databases.
- 4Experience preparing HUD-1 and Closing Disclosure forms.
- 5Solid understanding of title commitments, exceptions, and requirements.
- 6High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
- 7Professional communication with clients, lenders, and attorneys.
