What You'll Do11
- 1Develop design and optimize optical thin film coatings to meet customer specs
- 2Create detailed manufacturing plans for new product opportunities
- 3Provide process engineering support and instruction to manufacturing teams
- 4Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma strategies to improve efficiency and quality
- 5Ensure proper documentation resides in ERP systems
- 6Validate SPC process troubleshooting MRB investigations and continuous improvement recommendations
- 7Collaborate with Sales Production QA EHS and R&D to integrate innovative solutions
- 8Facilitate communication and drive projects and status updates
- 9Mentor technicians and operators on optimized processes fostering continuous improvement
- 10Establish and track integrated project schedules using Microsoft Project
- 11Develop and monitor project budgets throughout development cycles
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Physics or related field
- 20-3 years engineering experience in manufacturing process development optics or optical coating technologies preferred
- 3Proficiency with metrology equipment such as spectrophotometry and interferometry
- 4Experience in low volume high mix product environments
- 5Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with company personnel customers and suppliers
- 6Experience with SPC tools DOE and root cause analysis techniques
- 7Track record of successful project management leading multiple simultaneous projects
- 8Background in high-mix low-volume production environments
- 9Ability to understand analyze and resolve complex technical problems
- 10Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and MS Project
- 11Security clearance eligibility and export compliance knowledge
