Overview

You will own the full clinical therapy process at Banyan Treatment Centers, directly shaping recovery outcomes for patients in our behavioral health and substance use programs. You will manage an assigned caseload, conduct ASAM assessments, deliver individual, group, and family therapy, and coordinate care across the treatment team. Collaborate with medical providers, case management, and interdisciplinary teams in a mission-driven environment accredited by The Joint Commission, where ethical, evidence-based care is the standard. What You'll Do8

  • 1Conduct comprehensive ASAM assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations within established timeframes.
  • 2Develop individualized treatment plans with patients and the multidisciplinary team, updating them regularly.
  • 3Lead individual, group, and family therapy sessions, including daily process groups.
  • 4Facilitate psychoeducational groups that build insight and recovery skills.
  • 5Communicate with families and referral sources to support continuity of care.
  • 6Coordinate with case management and aftercare services to craft discharge plans.
  • 7Apply clinical judgment in crisis situations, including suicide risk assessments and safety planning.
  • 8Complete clinical documentation accurately and on time, following Joint Commission standards.

Requirements8

  • 1Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related human services field.
  • 22+ years of clinical experience providing therapy in behavioral health or substance use settings.
  • 3Active clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or equivalent) in the applicable state.
  • 4Experience in residential, inpatient, or detoxification levels of care.
  • 5Knowledge of state and federal confidentiality regulations.
  • 6Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and clinical documentation.
  • 7Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, Kipu preferred.
  • 8Strong clinical assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
