Overview

The role owns hardware bring-up and validation for satellite antenna systems at scale, collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure reliable PCB assemblies and test workflows. You will support ambient and thermal chamber tests, develop automation in Linux and Python, and drive documentation and reporting for engineering leadership. This position emphasizes hands on lab work, continuous improvement, and operational excellence in a dynamic hardware environment.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Lead hardware bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting for satellite antenna systems and PCBs
  • 2Execute electrical and design validation tests and qualification workflows across multiple hardware assemblies
  • 3Configure and maintain test racks, fixtures, and lab infrastructure for repeatable testing
  • 4Read schematics and test procedures to support debugging and test execution
  • 5Develop and modify Python scripts to support test automation and data collection
  • 6Analyze PCB and system level failures, drive root cause investigations with engineering teams
  • 7Generate clear test reports and runbooks for stakeholders and program leaders
  • 8Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement process improvements to boost throughput
  • 9Coordinate interfacility hardware movement and logistics across sites
  • 10Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Automation, Manufacturing and Test Engineering teams to deliver hardware on schedule

Requirements10

  • 1Experience testing electronics and PCBs including bring-up and subsystem integration
  • 2Hands on experience with test racks, fixtures, and lab hardware
  • 3Proficiency in debugging PCB and lab test failures
  • 4Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams and interpret technical documentation
  • 5Familiarity with Linux command line and Python scripting for automation
  • 6Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, or signal generators
  • 7Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • 8Ability to work in onsite Redmond WA environment with physical lab work
  • 9Experience with ambient and thermal chamber testing is a plus
  • 10Demonstrated ownership and accountability in a fast evolving engineering setting
