What You'll Do9
- 1Design electronic hardware and assemblies for aerospace and remote sensing applications, from concept to release.
- 2Run functional, performance, and reliability tests on hardware and assemblies, documenting results with precision.
- 3Debug and troubleshoot electrical systems, tracing issues to root causes and implementing fixes.
- 4Collaborate with PCB layout engineers to optimize board design, component placement, and signal integrity.
- 5Build wire harnesses that meet electrical, mechanical, and environmental specs for flight and ground systems.
- 6Verify and validate hardware against design specs and mission requirements, including flight handling procedures.
- 7Integrate sensors and instrumentation into spacecraft, ensuring clean electrical interfaces and compatibility.
- 8Document designs, test procedures, and troubleshooting steps in clear, traceable records.
- 9Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to support hardware build and deployment.
Requirements10
- 15+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience in hardware design and development.
- 2Proven skill in electrical testing: planning, executing, and analyzing results for electronic assemblies.
- 3Strong debugging ability for complex electrical and electronic systems, with a track record of root-cause fixes.
- 4Experience interfacing with PCB layout, including board constraints and signal integrity.
- 5Hands-on wire harness design that satisfies electrical, mechanical, and environmental requirements.
- 6Experience with verification and validation of electronic hardware to meet specs and standards.
- 7Knowledge of flight hardware handling procedures and controls for aerospace environments.
- 8Aerospace experience preferred, especially with small satellites, CubeSats, or similar systems.
- 9Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field strongly preferred.
- 10Familiarity with high-reliability hardware for remote sensing or instrumentation is a plus.
