Temporary Electronics & Instrumentation Technician
Overview
The Temporary Electronics & Instrumentation Technician supports engineering teaching laboratories by maintaining electronics and instrumentation equipment and assisting with laboratory activities. This role involves leading students and faculty in electronic prototyping testing troubleshooting and digital fabrication. It focuses on preparing equipment maintaining inventories performing routine maintenance and promoting safe laboratory practices.
What You'll Do6
- 1Maintain and troubleshoot electronics laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- 2Assist faculty and students with circuit construction soldering testing measurement and electronic prototyping
- 3Support laboratory activities involving embedded systems sensors data acquisition instrumentation 3D printing and laser cutting
- 4Prepare laboratory equipment and materials for instructional use
- 5Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instrumentation 3D printers and laser cutters
- 6Promote safe laboratory practices and maintain an organized laboratory environment
Requirements5
- 1Technical training or equivalent experience in electronics electrical engineering technology or a related field
- 2Experience with electronic test equipment instrumentation soldering circuit troubleshooting 3D printing and laser cutting
- 3Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and digital fabrication techniques
- 45+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
