Telecommunications Engineering Technician Leidos
Overview
Support daily operations of the Brand-New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) for the FAA Central Service Area - Engineering Services Group in Washington DC. Provide technical support and coordinate projects.
What You'll Do15
- 1Review FAA databases and draft Site Survey Reports (SSR)
- 2Conduct site surveys and draft Site Survey Reports (SSR)
- 3Coordinate schedules with SSC ES and vendor personnel
- 4Draft Project Risk Plans (PRP) and Operational Risk Management Plans (ORMP)
- 5Generate and update drawings sketches and artifacts
- 6Draft project plans for site preparation activities
- 7Coordinate scheduled outages with SSC Air Traffic and Operations personnel
- 8Develop transition plans
- 9Resolve schedule conflicts
- 10Accompany unbadged personnel at facilities
- 11Work with LECs on schedules
- 12Develop briefings/information/reports on District status
- 13Collaborate with other Districts SSC on interstate service flows transitions cutovers planning
- 14Support District POC and SSCs with day-to-day work activities
- 15Review and comment on vendor Site Specific Implementation Plans (SSIP)
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering with 4 to 8 years experience or Master’s degree with 2 to 6 years experience
- 2Ability to travel 75-100%
- 3Public Trust Security Clearance eligibility
- 4Proficiency in MS Office Suites
- 5Experience with AutoCAD or similar tools
- 6Knowledge of NEC NFPA standards NEC NEC National Airspace System Equipment Tower
