Junior Network Administration Specialist Leidos
Overview
Leidos seeks a Junior Network Administration Specialist to join the IT and engineering team in Bowie MD. This role involves designing deploying maintaining and configuring a multi-platform high availability secure real time wide area network. The ideal candidate will balance resources schedule work hours and travel to regional sites. Responsibilities include daily operational support infrastructure integration and vendor management. What You'll Do11
- 1Monitor infrastructure operations and performance identify potential problems and resolve network incidents
- 2Integrate high level design plans acquire install network equipment and manage configuration details
- 3Document physical and logical configurations track changes and maintain status accounting
- 4Coordinate with hardware and service vendors handle help desk support and user interactions
- 5Develop utility programs scripts to facilitate monitoring and automate configuration management
- 6Prepare briefings presentations and documentation for management or customers
- 7Travel to field sites to support ISP circuit activation and troubleshooting
- 8Implement and manage classified computer systems ensure DoD security compliance
- 9Design network LAN WAN VLAN implement TCP/IP services firewall policies and IP addressing
- 10Configure PIXIE boot routers switches and manage encryption devices KGs
- 11Use Wireshark monitor network traffic and develop BASH scripts for key administration tasks
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent plus 5 years relevant experience
- 2Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship
- 3Proficiency with Security+ CE Network+ CE and CCNA certifications
- 4Ability to work onsite in Bowie Maryland
- 5Demonstrated skills in implementing managed classified computer systems
- 6Knowledge of network LAN WAN VLAN design TCP/IP services DNS DHCP FTP HTTP HTTPS IPSec and IP routing
- 7Experience with firewall configuration NATs PIXIE boot PKSGs and encryption device administration
- 8Skills in monitoring network using Wireshark and automation of configuration auditing
- 9Understanding of DOD STIGs IOS patch management and automation tools
- 10Strong communication and documentation abilities for technical material
