What You'll Do11
- 1Conduct thorough intake assessments evaluating mental health status developmental history and social functioning
- 2Develop individualized treatment plans using CBT psychodynamic therapy and behavioral therapy tailored for adolescent needs
- 3Provide individual counseling addressing anxiety depression trauma PTSD addiction autism spectrum disorders and other behavioral health concerns
- 4Facilitate group therapy focusing on social skills development peer support and psychoeducation
- 5Engage in family counseling to strengthen communication and support systems
- 6Implement crisis intervention strategies during acute mental health episodes
- 7Maintain accurate confidential medical records using EMR systems ensuring HIPAA compliance
- 8Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including case managers psychiatrists educators and community providers
- 9Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster motivation for change
- 10Conduct diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems
- 11Participate in clinical research initiatives related to adolescent mental health and behavioral interventions
Requirements7
- 1Valid licensure as an LCSW or LMHC with direct experience working with children and adolescents in clinical settings
- 2Proven proficiency in psychotherapy techniques including CBT psychodynamic therapy ABA and crisis management
- 3Hands-on experience conducting intake assessments patient care planning and diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems
- 4Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations including youth with ASD developmental disabilities PTSD addiction issues and complex behavioral health needs
- 5Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation treatment notes CPT coding and medical terminology
- 6Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient confidentiality and medical documentation standards
- 7Experience delivering services within hospital settings or community-based programs is highly desirable
