Technology Procurement Manager, Fintech & SaaS
Overview
You will own and drive the Technology category at Wise, managing Software, Hardware, Cloud Infrastructure, Data Services, Networks & Telco spend. Partnering with the Third Party Management and Procurement Team in Austin, you will build commercial strategies, execute RFPs, and negotiate supplier contracts to deliver measurable cost savings. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and legal to align deals with business goals. What You'll Do10
- 1Execute procurement strategies and conduct market research to identify industry trends and supply and demand shifts.
- 2Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, preparing for cross-departmental alignment meetings.
- 3Manage cost reduction and spend optimization initiatives by providing analytical and financial support on sourcing projects.
- 4Coordinate supplier evaluation and selection, applying criteria for quality, price, and reliability.
- 5Analyze contract and spend data to find consolidation opportunities, and prepare documents for renegotiation or new RFPs.
- 6Research and implement sustainable and ethical sourcing initiatives to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- 7Support adoption of procurement technologies and automation tools to improve process efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
- 8Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by actively participating in learning and development opportunities.
- 9Ensure personal procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations, promoting integrity and transparency.
- 10Stay current with industry best practices and propose improvements to Wise's procurement processes.
Requirements10
- 13+ years of experience in procurement process execution, running and scoring RFPs, and direct supplier negotiations.
- 2Proven experience in forming commercial strategies, ideally within financial services or fintech.
- 3Hands-on exposure to technology categories including Software, Hardware, Cloud Infrastructure, Data Services, Networks & Telco.
- 4Strong project management skills to deliver strategic sourcing projects on time and within budget.
- 5Ability to personally contribute to achieving commercial targets and measurable cost savings.
- 6Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and present scenarios to stakeholders.
- 7Foundational understanding of risk management with the ability to identify and flag potential risks.
- 8Familiarity with sourcing tools, market analysis, and end-to-end procurement processes.
- 9Strong organizational skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
