What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and edit website content, announcements, and guidance documents to ensure accuracy and accessibility
  • 2Draft, revise, and maintain SOPs and operational documents for internal and external distribution
  • 3Review and proofread materials for grammar, tone, and formatting to uphold brand standards
  • 4Format reports, manuals, presentations, and correspondence for distribution
  • 5Collaborate with SMEs and program staff to translate technical information into audience-appropriate content
  • 6Maintain version control and organize agency documentation in accordance with policies
  • 7Recommend process improvements to documentation templates and standards to improve efficiency
  • 8Ensure compliance with agency style guides and accessibility standards
  • 9Support CMS content updates and website management using CMS tools
  • 10Perform related duties as assigned to support documentation needs

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, Public Administration, or a related field
  • 21 to 6 years of professional experience in technical writing, editing, communications, or document management
  • 3Experience editing website content and technical or administrative documentation
  • 4Experience developing and maintaining SOPs
  • 5Excellent written, verbal, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
  • 6Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • 7Experience using CMS for website updates is preferred
  • 8Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively
  • 9Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • 10Preferred: experience in government or public sector environment and knowledge of plain language and accessibility standards
