Technical Sourcer, AI & Robotics Talent at Atomic Machines
Overview
The Technical Sourcer will own top-of-funnel sourcing for highly technical roles across software, hardware, robotics, and manufacturing engineering at Atomic Machines. They will map markets quickly, build precise talent pipelines, and generate high response rates from passive candidates. This role partners with recruiters and hiring managers to define what great looks like and executes search strategies from first principles. You will operate in a niche, technical market and distinguish the team through creative outreach and rigorous qualification. This position offers hybrid onsite collaboration in Emeryville or Santa Clara 2-3 days per week.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and execute targeted sourcing strategies for software, hardware, robotics, and manufacturing engineering roles
- 2Own top-of-funnel pipeline development using LinkedIn Recruiter and other specialized tools
- 3Write personalized, research-driven outreach achieving 25%+ response rates on passive candidates
- 4Conduct qualification screens to assess technical fit and alignment before handoff to full-cycle recruiters
- 5Develop and maintain search strings, target company lists, and talent maps by role family
- 6Partner with recruiters and hiring managers on intake and iterative search refinement
- 7Track sourcing metrics and report weekly on pipeline health
- 8Use AI tools to accelerate research and draft outreach variations
- 9Identify non-obvious candidate pools through proactive market mapping
- 10Maintain strong candidate experience throughout the sourcing process
Requirements11
- 12–5 years of technical sourcing or recruiting experience at a technical company or staffing firm
- 2Deep fluency with LinkedIn Recruiter and at least one other sourcing platform (Juicebox, Gem, Findem, or similar)
- 3Demonstrated ability to build sourcing pipelines for niche, hard-to-fill technical roles
- 4Strong working knowledge of AI tools as a sourcing accelerator (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar)
- 5Strong written communication skills with a track record of outreach messages that get replies
- 6Ability to read a technical job description and independently construct a sourcing strategy
- 7Experience with ATS platforms (Greenhouse preferred) for pipeline management
- 8Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to iterate on sourcing strategies
- 9A first-principles approach to candidate evaluation quality
- 10Bachelor's degree required
- 11Willingness to work onsite in Emeryville or Santa Clara, 2-3 days a week
