Overview
We seek a skilled Technical Maintenance Mechanic to lead advanced troubleshooting and repair of conveyor systems and facility equipment in a fast-paced warehouse setting. This role focuses on improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime while supporting safe operations. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient technician with expertise in mechanical electrical systems and preventive maintenance practices.
What You'll Do11
- 1Perform advanced equipment troubleshooting and repair of mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulic and control systems
- 2Maintain and service conveyor systems sortation equipment gearboxes motors VFDs sensors bearings chains belts rollers actuators cylinders and related components
- 3Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective solutions through dismantling inspection and rebuilding
- 4Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance aligned with established schedules and procedures
- 5Support troubleshooting of automated material handling equipment and control systems including PLCs and VFDs
- 6Assist with installation commissioning and modification of conveyor systems and facility equipment
- 7Lead root cause analysis activities to eliminate recurring equipment failures
- 8Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and new hires
- 9Document maintenance activities in CMMS track labor parts usage and coordinate replacements
- 10Ensure compliance with OSHA LockoutTagout machine guarding and safety protocols
- 11Identify inventory needs and manage spare parts procurement processes
Requirements10
- 14+ years industrial maintenance experience in warehouse distribution manufacturing or automated material handling environments
- 2Extensive expertise in conveyor systems motors gearboxes bearings chains belts pneumatic hydraulic systems
- 3Strong knowledge of electrical systems VFDs and diagnostic tools like multimeters
- 4Ability to read schematics blueprints wiring diagrams and equipment manuals
- 5Previous experience with CMMS platforms SAP PM Maximo Fiix or similar
- 6Electrical certifications OSHA 10/30 NFPA 70E or LockoutTagout training
- 7Bilingual proficiency English Spanish
- 8Physical stamina to stand walk climb bend kneel and lift 50 pounds
- 9Experience with automated warehouse systems ASRS shuttles lifts AGVsAMRs or advanced sortation technologies
- 10Proven problem solving and analytical capabilities with independent work orientation
