Overview

What You'll Do11

  • 3Oversee staff scheduling and volunteer assignments to maintain equitable workload distribution
  • 4Conduct performance reviews and provide mentorship aligned with VITAS values
  • 5Monitor clinical records and implement quality improvement initiatives
  • 6Address patient family concerns directly and resolve service issues promptly
  • 7Perform utilization reviews and control costs within budget parameters
  • 8Facilitate team meetings and participate in on-call rotations
  • 9Maintain compliance with regulatory standards through proactive chart audits
  • 10Develop training programs and serve as resource for clinical and operational matters
  • 11Participate in outcomes management and professional development activities

Requirements8

  • 15+ years supervisory experience in healthcare management
  • 2Current RN license and bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3Proven ability to lead diverse teams in high-acuity environments
  • 4Strong knowledge of hospice principles and palliative care practices
  • 5Experience with VITAS information systems and reporting tools
  • 6Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
  • 7Dedication to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance
  • 8Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
