Director of Healthcare Services, Hospice & Home Care
Overview
You will own clinical and administrative operations for our hospice division in Dallas, TX, serving patients and families with compassion. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, chaplains, and support staff, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality care. Reporting to executive leadership, you will shape strategy, build physician relationships, and drive referrals. This role combines clinical excellence with business acumen in a purpose-driven environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Develop strategic plans for the hospice program to align with organizational goals and growth targets.
- 2Lead recruitment, training, and supervision of a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, social workers, and chaplains.
- 3Foster a collaborative team culture that prioritizes professional development and patient-centered care.
- 4Build and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians and healthcare stakeholders to increase referrals.
- 5Provide educational outreach to physicians on hospice services and advancements in palliative care.
- 6Act as a liaison to resolve physician concerns and ensure a smooth referral process.
- 7Monitor market trends and competition to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies.
- 8Maintain accurate records of interactions and referral outcomes to track performance.
- 9Ensure all physician interactions comply with healthcare laws and regulations.
- 10Champion risk management and compliance with agency policies and accreditation standards.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
- 25+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a home care setting.
- 33+ years of progressive hospice care management experience with leadership and managerial skills.
- 4Current State RN license and CPR certification.
- 5Additional hospice and palliative care certification preferred.
- 6Strong organizational and time management skills.
- 7Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- 8Ability to travel locally and work flexible shifts including evenings.
- 9Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations for hospice care.
- 10Demonstrated ability to supervise and build high-performing teams.
