You'll own tax preparation and advisory services for in-person customers at a TurboTax Retail or Flagship location, handling 30+ returns per season. Using TurboTax software and your EA, CPA, or attorney license, you'll provide full-service filing, deductions optimization, and tax planning. You'll also act as a community ambassador, building a local client base through marketing support and social presence. This role stands out with year-round availability, bilingual opportunities, and a pay range of $32.50-$36.00 per hour.
What You'll Do8
- 1Prepare and file federal and state 1040 returns for individuals and businesses, using TurboTax professional software.
- 2Conduct discovery sessions to identify deductions, minimize liabilities, and maximize refunds for each client.
- 3Advise on complex tax situations, including business income, amendments, and future planning.
- 4Use Circular 230 guidelines to ensure compliance in all tax advice and preparation.
- 5Engage with local prospects at the store and through community events to convert leads into loyal clients.
- 6Deliver a best-in-class experience via in-person and video communication tools, addressing client questions promptly.
- 7Collaborate with the store team to share expertise and stay current on tax law changes.
- 8Document client interactions and manage follow-ups using CRM tools to maintain relationships.
Requirements10
- 1Active EA, CPA, or attorney license with strong tax preparation experience.
- 2Hold a current PTIN as required by law.
- 33+ years paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 returns per season.
- 4Familiarity with Circular 230.
- 5Ability to work onsite at a TurboTax store, Sunday through Saturday, minimum 20 hours per week.
- 6Interest in building local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert.
- 7Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills preferred.
- 8Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing.
- 9Willingness to wear TurboTax uniform and work in a retail environment.
- 10Must reside within the United States.
