Overview
You will own the TurboTax retail experience at a flagship location, preparing full-service tax returns and advising customers on complex tax situations. You work on-site with a collaborative team of financial experts, serving in-person customers and using TurboTax software. You build long-term client relationships through proactive outreach and local marketing, becoming the public face of TurboTax in the community. This role blends tax expertise with entrepreneurial spirit, empowering you to grow a client base while driving customer loyalty. You receive support from Intuit's marketing and ongoing collaboration with growth-minded professionals.
What You'll Do8
- 1Represent TurboTax locally as a community ambassador, engaging with prospects and converting them into long-term clients through proactive outreach.
- 2Prepare complete tax returns and provide hands-on advice for simple to complex situations, including business income and deduction optimization.
- 3Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize liabilities, and deliver future tax planning advice.
- 4Use resources like government websites and professional tools to deliver accurate tax solutions in personalized everyday language.
- 5Create a best-in-class customer experience by connecting personally with clients and building trust that drives multi-year loyalty.
- 6Serve customers in-person and through video communication tools, addressing inquiries and helping them overcome tax challenges.
- 7Lead local marketing events and create educational content such as tax tips to make taxes accessible and approachable.
- 8Utilize CRM and tax software to manage client relationships and grow your portfolio.
Requirements9
- 1Active, unrestricted EA, CPA, or attorney license with deep tax law knowledge preferred.
- 2Active PTIN and ability to obtain state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- 33+ years paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 returns per season using professional software.
- 4Familiarity with Circular 230.
- 5Willing to work onsite at a TurboTax retail location, 20+ hours weekly, with flexible hours including weekends.
- 6Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert.
- 7Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus.
- 8Experience in holistic tax advisory beyond filing is preferred.
- 9Willing to wear a TurboTax uniform and work in a front-facing retail environment.
