Tank Farm Operator at Coast Packing Company
Overview
The Tank Farm Operator will own and manage product movement across holding tanks to production equipment and tanker vehicles. This role involves leading operations that ensure efficient transfers and blending while maintaining safety standards. What You'll Do11
- 1Monitor gauges and meters on tanks to maintain proper levels temperatures and pressures during offloading transfers and uploads
- 2Offload tanker rail cars by preparing product connecting hoses and sampling product for analysis
- 3Collect samples from multiple depths using a sampler tool and deliver them to laboratories
- 4Set up and manage lines for both offload and upload operations using knowledge of pipelines valves and pumps
- 5Clean system lines with air between uses and release tanker rail cars after completion
- 6Feed production by preparing lines and verifying filter functionality
- 7Transfer product between tanks and blend products based on production schedules
- 8Perform other duties as assigned including maintenance and project work
- 9Complete all required paperwork documenting time measurements and gauge readings
- 10Operate machinery and work in environments with moderate to high noise levels outdoors
- 11Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to safety protocols
Requirements10
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Bilingual English Spanish
- 3High School Diploma or GED
- 4Self-motivated individual who thrives in fast-paced settings
- 5Ability to work flexible hours including holidays nights and weekends
- 6Strong verbal communication skills and ability to present information effectively
- 7Experience with machinery and ability to follow multi-step instructions
- 8Experience with pipeline systems valve manifolds pumps and tankage
- 9Physical stamina for standing walking bending and lifting objects up to 50 pounds
- 10Attention to detail for interpreting policies and procedures
