
Systems Administrator, Microsoft 365 & AWS
Overview
As a Systems Administrator, you own the daily operation of the corporate and global franchise network technology platform, ensuring it stays secure, reliable, and well-managed. You administer Microsoft 365 and identity, manage endpoints and security, and run service desk operations. You also build automations to reduce manual toil. This role is the operational backbone of IT, blending hands-on technical work with strategic improvements across Windows Server, Azure AD, and AWS. You will directly impact uptime for thousands of users and set the standard for security and efficiency.
What You'll Do9
- 1Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams, ensuring high availability and policy compliance.
- 2Manage user identity and access with Azure AD, including SSO, MFA, and conditional access policies.
- 3Oversee endpoint management using Intune and Windows Autopilot to deploy and secure devices.
- 4Run daily service desk operations, triaging and resolving tickets with attention to root cause and user satisfaction.
- 5Build PowerShell scripts and AWS CloudFormation templates to automate routine administrative tasks.
- 6Monitor system health with CloudWatch and Azure Monitor, proactively addressing performance and security issues.
- 7Manage patching and vulnerability remediation across servers and endpoints, using tools like WSUS and AWS Systems Manager.
- 8Escalate and coordinate with external vendors for hardware and software support contracts.
- 9Document system configurations and processes to enable knowledge sharing and reduce single points of failure.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator in a production environment.
- 22+ years administering Microsoft 365 and Azure AD in a mid-size to enterprise organization.
- 3Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- 4Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and Python for automation.
- 5Experience with endpoint management using Intune and Autopilot.
- 6Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
- 7Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V.
- 8Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.
