Overview
Lead knowledge and competency-based training for operating personnel. Develop training materials and evaluate performance using simulation technology. Mentor trainers and train the trainer. Ensure operators can handle normal abnormal and emergency bulk electric system tasks. Close with unique role differentiation.
What You'll Do9
- 1Oversee training and development of new Bulk Electric System Operators using the ADDIE Systematic Approach and NERC PER standards
- 2Collaborate with directors to stay current on training practices and discover innovative approaches
- 3Provide optimal learning experiences for operators in real time abnormal and emergency situations
- 4Communicate emerging training tools to the Training Director
- 5Interface with file and data management tools to document training and track continuing education hours
- 6Develop simulation scenarios and create content for web-based environments
- 7Handle unexpected training challenges without compromising learning quality
- 8Engage executives in training planning and keep them informed of relevant matters
- 9Demonstrate an actively caring attitude representing Duke Energy's inclusive workplace
Requirements11
- 1Technical degree plus two years related work experience
- 2High school GED plus four years related work experience
- 3NERC Certified Operator status
- 4Four years related work experience beyond technical degree
- 5Six years related work experience beyond technical degree and prior qualifications
- 6Proven commitment to training in a support role
- 7Excellent people skills and communication abilities
- 8Ability to lead training meetings independently
- 9Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 10Experience with Duke Energy's Dispatch Training Simulator
- 11Knowledge of presentation skills conflict management and Microsoft Office applications
