Support Engineer II, MSP & Microsoft 365
Overview
You will own escalated technical support for a managed service provider's clients across the Kansas City area. Working with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and network infrastructure, you will resolve complex issues from Tier I and maintain client environments. This hybrid role blends remote work with onsite visits, offering variety and direct client interaction. You will be part of a team known for fast response and high client satisfaction, with opportunities to shape long-term improvements.
What You'll Do8
- 1Resolve escalated technical issues from Tier I support across desktops, laptops, servers, and networks.
- 2Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems in client environments using Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
- 3Support clients via phone, remote tools, and onsite visits within the Kansas City area.
- 4Assist with network troubleshooting, including firewalls, switches, and wireless environments.
- 5Implement hardware and software improvements to enhance client performance and security.
- 6Document issues, resolutions, and processes in the ticketing system.
- 7Collaborate with team members to ensure timely resolution and high customer satisfaction.
- 8Identify recurring issues and contribute to long-term solutions and process improvements.
Requirements8
- 12+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a related technical role.
- 2Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills across Windows environments.
- 3Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and common business applications.
- 4Familiarity with networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and basic firewall configurations.
- 5Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- 6Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- 7Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for onsite visits.
- 8Experience in an MSP environment is a plus, and exposure to RMM tools and PSA systems is preferred.
