What You'll Do8
- 1Develop and revise single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring documentation in CAD with increasing independence
- 2Maintain cable/conduit lists, nameplates, and client-specific documentation
- 3Assist project leads in creating protection and control documentation following IEEE ANSI NEC NESC standards
- 4Support protective relaying SCADA RTU and automation design within defined scope
- 5Coordinate with drafters designers and vendors to deliver complete constructible packages
- 6Travel to project sites including locations not accessible by public transportation
- 7Apply internal and external processes and design standards
- 8Own substation protection and control package development from conception to startup
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 22+ years substation power delivery or electrical design experience
- 3Proficiency with AutoCAD AutoCAD Electrical
- 4Familiarity with IEEE ANSI NEC NESC standards
- 5Bluebeam experience for redlines and markups
- 6Ability to travel to project sites
- 7Engineer-in-Training certification progressing toward PE licensure
- 8Experience with Substation Design Suite preferred
- 9Knowledge of procurement documentation processes
- 10EIT certification with PE licensure progress
- 11Physical stamina for prolonged sitting and site visits involving weather and energized equipment
Salary Insight
$85 - $115k per year
