Student Success Assistant, Part-Time & Onsite at MCCCD
Overview
Own student engagement and administrative support for campus events at a large community college district. You will help plan New Student Orientation, Welcome Week, and First-Year Experience programs for a diverse student body. Work closely with the Student Success team to deliver welcoming experiences and reliable information to students. This role offers hands-on customer service exposure and opportunities to learn campus systems and software. What You'll Do5
- 1Build event plans and materials for New Student Orientation, Welcome Week, and other campus engagement activities to drive attendance and participation
- 2Provide excellent customer service by greeting students, answering questions, guiding them to resources, and handling event check-in and registration
- 3Complete administrative tasks such as data entry, file organization, and maintaining daily office records to support operations
- 4Assist with student outreach through reminders, emails, texts, and promotions to increase event participation
- 5Support the Student Success team with preparation for events and follow-up activities to sustain student engagement
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED and one year of clerical or administrative experience
- 2Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a professional approach
- 3Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and software applications
- 4Experience using spreadsheets and web-based applications to organize information
- 5Demonstrated time management and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary Insight
