You will install, terminate, and test Cat6 and Cat6A, pull fiber, and rack gear in IDF/MDF spaces across multiple sites. Join a 1099 contractor program with on-site roles and extensive travel. This role emphasizes on-site safety, precise labeling, and collaboration with IT teams and other trades.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and terminate Cat6 and Cat6A cabling to spec
  • 2Pull, route and dress fiber optic cabling
  • 3Install and dress cables in IDF/MDF cabinets and cable pathways
  • 4Install WAPs, devices, racks, cabinets and cable pathways
  • 5Perform Fluke cable certification testing to verify performance
  • 6Maintain clean cable management and labeling standards
  • 7Read blueprints and telecommunications drawings to guide work
  • 8Follow OSHA safety requirements on active commercial and warehouse sites
  • 9Work efficiently in dynamic commercial environments while traveling nationwide
  • 10Travel nationwide for long-term projects as an independent contractor

Requirements10

  • 1Minimum 2+ years of structured cabling experience
  • 2Experience in commercial, warehouse, and construction environments
  • 3Ability to read prints and telecom drawings
  • 4Experience installing IDFs, MDFs, racks, and patch panels
  • 5Experience with Security Cabling, Access Control, and Intrusion System installations
  • 6Knowledge of BICSI standards preferred
  • 7OSHA 10 preferred
  • 8Must have hands-on experience pulling routing and terminating low voltage cabling
  • 9Must have own basic tools
  • 10Reliable transportation and ability to travel nationwide
