Cable Technicians own the structured cabling for a large data center construction project in New Albany, OH. They pull and install fiber pigtails, route and secure cabling, and document work. What You'll Do8
- 1Pull and install fiber pigtails and structured cabling systems.
- 2Support cable installation activities in a data center and construction environment.
- 3Route, secure, and organize cabling according to project specifications.
- 4Complete timesheets, work orders, material transfers, and other project documentation accurately and on time.
- 5Follow all company, customer, and industry safety requirements.
- 6Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- 7Assist with inventory, materials handling, and other project-related duties as assigned.
- 8Collaborate with team members and project leadership to ensure successful project completion.
Requirements10
- 1Experience as a Cable Technician, Cable Installer, Cable Puller, or Data Technician.
- 2Experience pulling pigtails.
- 3Ability to work in a construction environment.
- 4Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- 5Reliable transportation to the job site.
- 6Ability to distinguish cable colors and read small print.
- 7Preferred: experience with Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling.
- 8Preferred: data center experience.
- 9Preferred: telecommunications or ISP experience.
- 10Physical: ability to work on ladders and at heights, in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and move up to 75 pounds.
