Overview
You will own the installation and termination of structured cabling for a commercial project in Columbus, OH, working independently with minimal supervision. Your work spans Cat5e/Cat6 runs, RJ45 terminations, and Unistrut support infrastructure. The role demands 2+ years of commercial low voltage experience and offers consistent overtime. What You'll Do8
- 1Install and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 structured cabling across commercial spaces.
- 2Terminate RJ45 connectors, jacks, and patch panels to spec.
- 3Hang Unistrut and support infrastructure for cable pathways.
- 4Install wall-mounted cabinets and telecom hardware.
- 5Test and troubleshoot copper cabling with a fluke tester.
- 6Maintain clean and organized work areas to ensure safety.
- 7Follow all jobsite safety requirements, including OSHA standards.
- 8Fiber splice fiber optic cables when needed (preferred).
Requirements8
- 12+ years of commercial low voltage installation experience.
- 2Must complete work independently with minimal supervision.
- 3Reliable transportation to job site in Ashville, OH (Columbus area).
- 4Ability to work Monday through Saturday, including overtime.
- 5Own basic hand tools, punch-down tool, snips, and standard low-voltage tools.
- 6Own PPE: hard hat, high-visibility vest, and work boots.
- 7Read basic blueprints and follow installation plans.
- 8Fiber splicing experience preferred, qualifying for higher pay.
