What You'll Do8
- 1Lead bridge, tunnel and ancillary structure inspections and load ratings
- 2Prepare scheduling and write inspection reports ensuring quality assurance
- 3Perform structural analyses and develop calculations per regulatory standards
- 4Assist project managers with schedule and budget updates
- 5Design steel concrete and timber bridge elements and related structures
- 6Utilize advanced technologies such as drones and point-cloud mapping
- 7Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives
- 8Travel to various work sites as needed
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with current Virginia Professional Engineer license
- 25+ years bridge inspection experience
- 3Completed NHI two-week Bridge Inspector training within five years
- 4Proficiency with Microsoft Office MicroStation and CombIS
- 5Experience with LARS and AASHTOWare Bridge Rating software
- 6Familiarity with NHI courses for NSTM/FCM scour and LRFR load rating
- 7Strong organizational skills and ability to manage concurrent tasks
- 8Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
