Structural Engineer - Bridge Inspection Team Leader

What You'll Do12
- 1Lead bridge, tunnel, and ancillary structure inspections and load ratings
- 2Prepare scheduling and write inspection reports ensuring QA/QC standards
- 3Perform structural analyses and develop calculations per federal state and local requirements
- 4Assist project managers with schedule and budget updates and proposal preparation
- 5Design steel concrete and timber bridge elements walls and associated structures
- 6Manage site visits and onsite structure inspections
- 7Collaborate with project teams to coordinate assignments and proposals
- 8Execute engineering tasks for bridge design projects and transportation-related structural analysis
- 9Create quantities cost estimates and special provisions
- 10Develop and maintain proficiency with Microsoft Office MicroStation and CombIS
- 11Conduct bridge load rating and use LARS and AASHTOWare Bridge Rating software
- 12Complete NHI courses for NSTM/FCM scour LRFR load rating and highway structure inspection
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a valid P.E. license in NY NJ P.E. license is a plus 5+ years of bridge inspection experience
- 2Completed NHI two-week Bridge Inspector training course and/or refresher within the last five years
- 3Skills in Microsoft Office MicroStation and CombIS
- 4Proficiency with LARS and AASHTOWare Bridge Rating software
- 5Experience with NHI courses for NSTM/FCM scour LRFR load rating and highway structure inspection
- 6Strong organizational abilities and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
- 7Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 8Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- 9Willingness to travel to various work sites
