Resident Engineer, Transportation Infrastructure
Overview
KS Engineers, P.C. seeks a Resident Engineer to lead construction inspection for Capital Infrastructure projects across highways and bridges. What You'll Do14
- 1Supervise construction inspection and enforce safety and quality standards
- 2Act as owner's on-site representative to contractors
- 3Direct inspection staff and oversee ongoing work conformity with contracts
- 4Perform constructability reviews and recommend major changes
- 5Participate in project meetings and coordinate with business development
- 6Review RFIs submissions change orders and contractor payments
- 7Assign inspect staff and provide technical mentorship
- 8Ensure equipment and material methods align with specifications
- 9Conduct inspections and administrative services for cost progress and quality control
- 10Prepare documentation and address stakeholder complaints
- 11Represent owner in dealings with contractors and public agencies
- 12Manage subcontractor activities and department coordination
- 13Utilize required software to complete project assignments
- 14Respond to client and manager needs through daily operations
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor of science degree in Engineering or related field
- 2Ten years of roadway or bridge experience with half at resident engineer level
- 3NJ PE license or NICET Level IV certification
- 4OSHA 30 certification preferred
- 5Physical ability to stand walk climb bend kneel and lift up to 25 lbs
- 6Experience with highway construction inspection and diverse weather conditions
- 7Leadership skills to train inspire and motivate staff
- 8Full technical and administrative responsibility for project execution
- 9Ability to manage complex projects independently
Salary Insight
