Structural Engineer (PE) - Superior Rigging and Erecting
Overview
Lead development of engineered lift plans and structural calculations for complex crane heavy lifts and steel erection across the Southeast. Collaborate directly with Operations Project Management Safety and Executive Leadership to execute field solutions. Influence engineering standards and mentor talent while shaping departmental growth.
What You'll Do9
- 1Develop engineered lift plans and structural calculations for complex construction projects
- 2Perform structural analysis for temporary works lifting systems and crane support configurations
- 3Evaluate crane configurations ground bearing pressures and construction sequencing
- 4Conduct site visits to assess constructability access and engineering risks
- 5Support critical lifts structural steel erection and specialty construction activities
- 6Serve as Engineer of Record for engineered lifting and structural support tasks
- 7Partner with Operations Project Management Estimating and Safety teams to create practical solutions
- 8Establish engineering standards calculation procedures and technical best practices
- 9Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Engineering & Technical Services growth
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor’s degree in civil structural mechanical or related engineering discipline
- 2Active Professional Engineer license with Georgia eligibility through reciprocity
- 3Experience supporting structural industrial construction manufacturing infrastructure projects
- 4Strong structural analysis engineering judgment and problem solving abilities
- 5Proficiency with AutoCAD Revit RAM RISA TEDDS Bluebeam or similar engineering software
- 6Ability to work in office settings active construction environments and travel throughout Southeast
- 7Crane and rigging engineering experience preferred but not required
