Bennett & Pless seeks a Senior Structural Engineer Project Manager in Charlotte to drive project success and grow the firm. You will lead complex structural projects mentor engineers and expand market presence. This role blends hands-on engineering with client relationship management and team leadership.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead design and analysis of structural systems for new construction renovation and adaptive reuse across multiple sectors
- 2Manage projects ensure compliance with codes budgets schedules and QA/QC standards
- 3Prepare and review calculations drawings specifications and technical reports
- 4Coordinate with clients architects contractors and partners throughout design and construction phases
- 5Perform site visits assessments and coordinate construction milestone reviews
- 6Develop cost-effective solutions respond to RFIs and support construction admin
- 7Mentor junior engineers provide technical guidance and conduct quality reviews
- 8Maintain strong communication skills to build client and team relationships
- 9Design steel and concrete structures including low rise buildings with shallow foundations
- 10Support business development via proposals technical content and RFQ responses
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor’s degree in civil structural or related engineering with PE license
- 210+ years structural engineering experience managing projects and leading teams
- 3Proficiency with Revit and structural analysis modeling software
- 4Experience designing steel concrete structures and shallow foundation systems
- 5Strong written verbal communication skills for client and team collaboration
- 6Master’s degree preferred in Structural Engineering or related field
