What You'll Do9

  • 1Design gravity lateral and foundation systems for new and retrofit buildings in high seismic zones
  • 2Perform structural analysis and seismic design using ETABS RISA SAFE and RAM Steel
  • 3Develop main and secondary structural systems including columns beams and retaining walls
  • 4Analyze members in concrete steel and masonry using Enercalc and spCol complying with ACI 318 AISC 360 and TMS 402/602
  • 5Create calculation packages drawings and details for permits and construction
  • 6Support construction administration including RFI coordination and drawing development
  • 7Collaborate with BIM team maintain drawing standards and coordinate with project managers architects and disciplines
  • 8Provide technical guidance to junior engineers ensure quality control of documents
  • 9Supervise design engineers in construction tasks and enforce code compliance

Requirements11

  • 15+ years full-time experience as a structural engineer in consulting
  • 2BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structures
  • 3At least 3.0 GPA undergraduate coursework
  • 45 years training and supervising junior engineers
  • 5Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structures
  • 6At least 3.0 GPA graduate coursework
  • 7Transcripts showing advanced coursework in structural design concrete seismic PE license in California SE license in California
  • 8Proficiency in FEA and structural design software including ETABS RISA SAFE RAM Steel Enercalc and spCol
  • 9Strong knowledge of ACI 318 AISC 360 TMS 402/602 ASCE 7 ASCE 41 CBC CEBC
  • 10Experience with HCAI/OSHPD projects DSA projects and regulated facilities
  • 11Ability to design multiple structural materials and lead retrofit schemes
