Strategic Finance Associate, Web3 & Crypto
Overview
This role owns financial planning and analysis for the Monad Foundation, a fast-scaling EVM Layer 1 blockchain. You will manage budgets, cash flow, and treasury operations while partnering with the Director of Finance. The team is small, so your impact is direct and visible from day one. You will build the financial infrastructure as the foundation expands its ecosystem. This is a hybrid role based in New York, with the flexibility of remote work.
What You'll Do8
- 1Drive monthly budget vs. actual analysis and report insights to the Director of Finance
- 2Maintain the operating model, incorporating strategic plans and forecasting scenarios
- 3Monitor cash flow and optimize working capital by managing expenses, accounts payable, and payroll
- 4Track and manage treasury holdings, including both fiat and crypto assets
- 5Prepare ad hoc financial analyses on trends and specific business areas
- 6Coordinate with external accounting advisors to ensure accurate and compliant reporting
- 7Support the monthly close process by providing reconciliations and data
- 8Build financial models for strategic projects and partnership evaluations
Requirements5
- 12-4 years in client services or corporate finance, with exposure to budgeting and variance analysis
- 2Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel, including advanced formulas and modeling
- 3Working knowledge of accounting principles and monthly close processes
- 4Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- 5Genuine curiosity about crypto and web3, with willingness to learn new tools
