Overview
Own financial strategy, capital planning, and M&A execution across Shield's portfolio of IT services companies. Build sophisticated models that drive growth, investment, and operational decisions. Partner directly with C-suite executives on high-impact initiatives, from acquisition diligence to Board materials. This role blends deep analytical rigor with hands-on execution in a PE-backed platform environment, with quarterly travel to NYC and portfolio sites.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build long-range financial and operational models to support business planning, investment decisions, and platform scaling.
- 2Develop ROI analyses for growth initiatives, pricing strategies, and new market entries.
- 3Create reporting frameworks, dashboards, and KPIs tracking recurring revenue, retention, margin, and utilization.
- 4Drive scenario modeling and forecasting to support executive decision-making.
- 5Lead acquisition analysis, financial diligence, and integration planning.
- 6Collaborate with finance, operations, and integration teams on post-acquisition performance tracking.
- 7Design scalable, AI-forward finance processes and automate reporting workflows.
- 8Prepare executive-level materials for Board meetings and investor discussions.
Requirements8
- 17-10+ years experience in strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, or consulting.
- 2Proven track record supporting executive leadership in high-growth, operationally complex environments.
- 3Expertise in financial modeling and analytics.
- 4Background in M&A, integrations, or multi-entity businesses.
- 5Experience with operational and financial systems and large datasets.
- 6Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
- 7Collaborative, low-ego approach with hands-on execution.
- 8Experience in technology, IT services, SaaS, MSP, or PE-backed environments.
