Overview
Greet customers and process donations under the direction of the General Manager. This role involves receiving donations providing receipts and assisting with lifting items. Responsibilities include sorting pricing and maintaining clean environments. The position offers a unique chance to support local community initiatives.
What You'll Do11
- 1Greet each customer with a courteous friendly and professional attitude
- 2Receive donations and issue receipts while assisting donors with lifting items
- 3Sort donations into proper carts or bins and determine quality of donations
- 4Sort and price hard goods while keeping production areas clean and safe
- 5Maintain well groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including name badge and vest
- 6Provide general information to customers and donors
- 7Assist processors when needed
- 8Follow CPSC procedures and other public protection guidelines
- 9React calmly and respond to emergency situations
- 10Refer all complaints to management promptly
- 11Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager

- 1Ability to adhere to the organization’s core principles
- 2Knowledge of retail and stock handling
- 3Ability to listen and follow directions
- 4Ability to provide excellent customer service
- 5Ability to react calmly and respond to emergency situations
- 6Knowledge of textile articles as related to garment classification
- 7Previous retail and/or stock handling experience preferred
- 8Basic computer skills and beginner knowledge of using a barcode scanner
- 9Regularly lift and move up to 40 pounds with occasional assistance
- 10Vision abilities include close distance color and peripheral vision depth perception and focus adjustment
- 11Standing and walking for long periods ability to stoop bend kneel push and pull
- 12Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and lean to remove items from containers
- 13Sufficient mobility to handle moderate noise levels
