Store Cleaning Associate, Floor Care & Maintenance
Overview
You will own the cleanliness and organization of a Marshalls store in Baltimore, MD, ensuring a safe and inviting environment for customers and associates. You will operate scrubber and buffer machines, perform routine floor care, and support overall store standards. What You'll Do10
- 1Operate scrubber and buffer to maintain floor care standards.
- 2Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, and spot clean glass and windows.
- 3Maintain organizational and cleanliness standards for Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- 4Refill essential items in Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End per health and safety policies.
- 5Respond to Front End coverage needs, including cashier support as cross-trained.
- 6Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- 7Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day.
- 8Reduce shrink by adhering to operational and loss prevention controls.
- 9Communicate accurately with management and associates about store issues.
- 10Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Requirements9
- 11+ year of experience in retail cleaning or janitorial services preferred.
- 2Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate floor buffer and scrubber.
- 3Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
- 4Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- 5Excellent customer service skills for interacting with internal and external customers.
- 6Flexible schedule availability to support business needs, including evenings and weekends.
- 7Capable of multi-tasking and adapting to changing directions.
- 8Strong verbal and written communication skills.
