Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician
Overview
Own sterile compounding and IV preparation for long-term care facilities at SpecialtyRx. This role drives daily compounding room setup, mixing, and packaging of IV medications under USP 797 standards. You'll work within a tight-knit pharmacy team serving assisted living communities across Dallas. The position combines hands-on compounding with inventory control and quality assurance, offering steady hours and full-time employment.
What You'll Do7
- 1Prepare and maintain the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for sterile solution preparation.
- 2Mix and package IV medications under strict aseptic technique.
- 3Rotate medication stock and perform periodic inventory checks to uphold quality control.
- 4Adhere to pharmacy policies and standards, ensuring a clean and compliant environment.
- 5Collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to meet daily dispensing goals.
- 6Execute additional tasks assigned by the supervisor to support pharmacy operations.
- 7Document compounding activities and flag discrepancies to the supervisor.
Requirements8
- 1Texas Pharmacy Technician license required.
- 2IV sterile compounding experience preferred.
- 3PTCB certification preferred.
- 4Prior pharmacy experience preferred.
- 5Prior data entry experience preferred.
- 6Ability to lift light objects and stand for extended periods.
- 7Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- 8Reliable and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
