What You'll Do8
- 1Process prescription orders, including insurance billing, with speed and accuracy using Pioneer-RX.
- 2Fill prescriptions accurately, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and PHI.
- 3Handle inbound and outbound calls from patients, vendors, and medical personnel, maintaining clear, professional communication.
- 4Maintain and track inventory, ensuring stock levels meet patient needs and identifying reorder points.
- 5Assist customers with over-the-counter product recommendations, leveraging knowledge of vitamins and supplements.
- 6Learn and apply compounding techniques for both sterile and non-sterile preparations, following aseptic protocols.
- 7Contact physicians' offices to obtain refill authorizations and continued prescription approvals.
- 8Support specialty medication workflows, including prior authorizations and coordination with specialty pharmacies.
Requirements7
- 1Texas Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
- 21+ years of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
- 3Knowledge of Pioneer-RX pharmacy software is a plus.
- 4Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy management systems.
- 5Strong typing skills with a focus on accuracy for data entry.
- 6Ability to work rotating shifts, including every other Saturday.
- 7Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
