Lead end-to-end delivery for authentication and API systems at scale within a real-time platform. Own complex backend services, APIs and React frontends, guiding architecture and standards across cross-functional teams. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and own end-to-end features across Node TS backends and React frontends to deliver secure auth and high-volume APIs
- 2Drive architecture and system design for real-time data contracts authentication and authorization models
- 3Ship: author technical design docs, set code quality and testing standards, ensure scalable designs
- 4Collaborate with PM Design and other engineers to translate ambiguous requirements into performant experiences
- 5Mentor engineers through design reviews and feedback, fostering craftsmanship and clarity
- 6Improve developer experience and reliability across APIs data contracts testing strategies and progressive delivery
- 7Participate in on-call rotations and uphold operational excellence for owned areas
- 8Lead cross-team technical direction and evolve platform foundations for AI-powered workflows
- 9Define and implement CI/CD practices and telemetry to improve observability
- 10Contribute to FreeSWITCH related real-time telephony components when needed
Requirements5
- 18+ years of professional software engineering experience with Staff-level scope
- 2Expertise with TypeScript/Node.js and API development including REST WebSocket gRPC
- 3Strong SQL fundamentals and PostgreSQL experience
- 4Hands-on authentication and authorization implementation in distributed systems (OAuth2 JWT RBAC login flows)
- 5Proven track record delivering features end-to-end from discovery to deployment and iteration
