Product Software Engineer
Overview
Own the product layer of our system driving frontend experience and API application layer delivering reliable end-to-end product workflows collaborating with backend data engineers and SRE shaping how systems come together at the product layer contributing wherever needed to ship features This is a high-ownership role defining patterns unblock teams and help shape how the product works not just how it’s implemented
What You'll Do11
- 1Drive development of frontend Next.js TypeScript leveraging modern code-generation agents
- 2Architect and oversee API application layer focusing on system integration security and data integrity
- 3Design robust end-to-end product workflows acting as primary reviewer and quality gatekeeper for automated code contributions
- 4Implement strict automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliability and safety of features
- 5Build and maintain customer-facing UI for live operations and analytics
- 6Create internal tools for configuring and deploying facilities
- 7Collaborate with product to translate high-level requirements into concrete workflows and implementations
- 8Work with backend engineers to define and evolve API contracts and data interactions
- 9Improve performance reliability and maintainability of frontend
- 10Implement and maintain frontend and API testing and CI workflows
- 11Own authentication flows and system integration at the product layer
Requirements9
- 1Strong experience with TypeScript and React Next.js or similar
- 2Experience building and maintaining API layers using backend frameworks Python Node or similar
- 35+ years building and shipping production systems
- 4Experience owning end-to-end features or products not just isolated components
- 5Comfortable working across the stack frontend API layer
- 6Strong ownership and product mindset with ability to operate in ambiguous fast-moving environments
- 7Preferred Experience building real-time or data-heavy applications such as streaming time-series or analytics systems
- 8Experience working with authentication systems login flows session management SSO integrations
- 9Experience working with systems deployed outside pure cloud environments on-prem edge or hardware-integrated systems

$155 - $180k per year
