Staff Product Designer, Healthcare & Nutrition
Overview
You will own the design strategy for Nourish's expanding product suite, setting the foundation for how patients, providers, and growth teams experience our AI-native healthcare platform. Reporting to the Head of Design, you'll work across patient, provider, and growth products to craft intuitive, high-craft experiences. You'll join a small, collaborative team that values empathy, trust, and shipping. This role is unique because you'll shape the design culture while tackling complex, meaningful problems in nutrition and chronic disease.
What You'll Do6
- 1Establish information architecture best practices to keep user experience consistent across new and existing offerings, from discovery to implementation.
- 2Design best-in-class experiences for patient, provider, and growth products, iterating on existing features and creating net new ones.
- 3Drive qualitative user research by building prototypes, conducting interviews, and running surveys to validate design hypotheses.
- 4Grow and maintain the design system component library to ensure quality and efficiency across teams.
- 5Champion a design culture that insists on craft and goes the extra mile for patient and provider excellence, with no detail too small.
- 6Collaborate with product and engineering to turn ambiguous problems into polished, shippable features within the first 90 days.
Requirements8
- 110+ years experience designing compelling digital products, with a portfolio showing strong fundamentals.
- 2Deep customer and craft orientation, translating real user needs into clear, thoughtful experiences.
- 3Builder mindset: comfortable taking ideas from 0 to 1 and iterating relentlessly, with a bias for shipping.
- 4Ownership and ability to push work forward through ambiguity, forming strong opinions and driving decisions with product and engineering.
- 5High signal-to-noise communication, both written and verbal, explaining ideas quickly and directly.
- 6Willingness to do your own stunts: running user interviews, refining copy, improving flows, or jumping into messy problems.
- 7Comfort in a demanding, fast-moving environment with a high bar for quality and accountability.
- 8Motivated by impact in meaningful areas like nutrition, chronic disease, and preventative healthcare.
