Overview
You will own prescription verification and quality assurance for a high-volume specialty pharmacy, ensuring accuracy and compliance before dispensing. You will join a team of 20+ pharmacists and technicians in Warrendale, PA, partnering with cross-functional teams to investigate issues and implement solutions. Your work directly supports business continuity and operational excellence, with a rotating schedule including on-call coverage. What You'll Do6
- 1Verify final prescription and order information with Pharm.D expertise, ensuring accuracy and compliance before dispensing
- 2Enforce state and federal regulations, manufacturer standards, and internal quality programs through daily checks
- 3Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions in QMS workflows
- 4Foster a collaborative environment by mentoring new pharmacists and technicians during onboarding and training
- 5Serve as a go-to resource for Verification and QA processes, supporting problem-solving across the department
- 6Provide pharmacist coverage during on-call rotations, maintaining business continuity and patient safety
Requirements9
- 1Graduate of ACPE-accredited school with B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D
- 2Active pharmacist license in good standing in Pennsylvania
- 31+ years pharmacist experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or related setting
- 4Experience in specialty, fulfillment, mail-order, or central fill operations
- 5Proven track record performing prescription verification in high-volume settings
- 6Experience with QMS and quality assurance programs
- 7Demonstrated ability to train and mentor pharmacy team members
- 8Advanced problem-solving and communication skills
- 9Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
