Dispensing Technician, Pharmacy Fulfillment
Overview
As a Dispensing Technician, you own daily prescription fulfillment in a high-volume, closed-door pharmacy, processing 500+ orders per shift with Pharmacy Technician certification. You will operate in a clean, technology-driven environment alongside pharmacists and fellow technicians, managing inventory and documentation from punch cards to prepacks. What You'll Do8
- 1Fill daily prescription orders including punch cards, bulk items, OTC medications, compounding, cassettes, and prepacks, maintaining 99% accuracy.
- 2Print and verify daily pharmacy orders, labels, and delivery sheets, ensuring complete and legible documentation for each outgoing package.
- 3Stock and restock medication inventory, using Pharmacy Management Systems to track levels and prevent stockouts.
- 4Monitor inventory control processes, flagging discrepancies to pharmacists and adjusting stock counts in Pharmacy Software.
- 5Operate Automated Dispensing Machines and packaging equipment, following safety protocols to minimize errors.
- 6Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve order discrepancies and ensure timely fulfillment of all prescriptions.
- 7Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to Hygiene Standards and regulatory compliance.
- 8Adapt to rotating shifts (6:30am-3pm, 10:30am-7pm, 2:30pm-11pm) and occasional weekends, ensuring consistent coverage.
Requirements8
- 16+ months of pharmacy technician experience in dispensing or fulfillment settings
- 2Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in Pennsylvania
- 3Hands-on experience with prescription fulfillment including packaging, refills, and inventory management
- 4Proficiency with Pharmacy Management Systems for order processing and label printing
- 5Strong attention to detail with a track record of accurate medication preparation
- 6Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- 7Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations for dispensing and documentation
- 8Effective communication skills to coordinate with pharmacists and team members
