What You'll Do6
- 1Prepare specialty pharmaceuticals and IV solutions under FDA and DEA sterile compounding regulations.
- 2Monitor patients by assessing lab values and calculating pharmacokinetic dosing for TPN.
- 3Counsel patients and caregivers on infusion pump use, sterile techniques, and catheter care.
- 4Coordinate with physicians and home health nurses to optimize therapy and reduce readmissions.
- 5Ensure compliance with State Board of Pharmacy, HIPAA, Medicare, ACHC, and URAC standards.
- 6Manage refrigerated medication inventory and prepare timely shipments.
Requirements5
- 1Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and active Pharmacist license.
- 21+ years pharmacist experience, with infusion or IV room background preferred.
- 31-3 years infusion specialty pharmacy or hospital IV room experience.
- 4Proven competence with CareTend pharmacy systems.
- 5Active Arizona and Texas pharmacist licenses in good standing.
