Staff Accountant, Manufacturing & General Ledger
Overview
Own the monthly close cycle for a growing manufacturing organization in Fort Worth, Texas. You'll prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and deliver accurate financial reports that drive operational decisions. You will work alongside NetSuite power users across accounting, operations, and inventory teams. This role stands apart through its exposure to cost accounting and physical inventory processes.
What You'll Do9
- 1Prepare journal entries and complete account reconciliations to hit monthly close deadlines with NetSuite.
- 2Maintain general ledger activity to ensure accurate recording of transactions across all business units.
- 3Partner with operational teams to improve transaction accuracy and support reliable financial data flow.
- 4Own customer billing and accounts receivable follow-up to resolve outstanding items.
- 5Reconcile inventory accounts and prepare supporting reports to monitor balance accuracy.
- 6Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory reviews to validate records and investigate variances.
- 7Analyze standard and actual cost differences, researching unusual fluctuations and driving corrections.
- 8Document accounting procedures and reinforce internal controls to support compliance with company policies.
- 9Provide audit support and tax data requests during annual and quarterly cycles.
Requirements7
- 11+ years of accounting experience with 2+ years preferred in a manufacturing or inventory-heavy environment.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- 4Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- 5Experience with billing, fixed assets, lease accounting, or inventory accounting.
- 6Strong analytical skills to manage multiple deadlines and problem-solve effectively.
- 7Clear written and verbal communication with a proactive approach to learning.
