Sr. Accountant, Tax Coordination & ERP Systems
Overview
You will own the coordination between internal accounting and external tax teams, ensuring accurate financial records and timely tax filings in Dallas. You will prepare reconciliations, post journal entries, and support month-end close using Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP. You will bridge accounting and tax operations, reducing compliance risk and driving resolution of open items. This contract role offers direct impact on reporting accuracy and tax deadline success.
What You'll Do8
- 1Own the primary coordination between accounting and external tax partners, driving timely communication and issue resolution.
- 2Prepare and review account, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial record accuracy.
- 3Post journal entries to the general ledger with proper supporting documentation.
- 4Drive month-end close by analyzing financial data, resolving discrepancies, and delivering accurate reporting on schedule.
- 5Monitor tax filing calendars, follow up on open questions, and track critical deadlines to reduce compliance risk.
- 6Research accounting variances and respond to internal and external tax information requests.
- 7Execute transactions, reporting, and reconciliation in NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
- 8Analyze data and prepare schedules in Excel to support accounting and tax processes.
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 25+ years in senior-level accounting with strong knowledge of general ledger and close processes.
- 3Hands-on expertise with account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and journal entry preparation.
- 4Proficiency in Excel for analyzing large data sets and preparing detailed schedules.
- 5Experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
- 6Ability to collaborate with external tax teams and internal stakeholders.
- 7Strong organizational skills to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and follow through on outstanding items.
