Overview
Kenpat Group seeks a Staff Accountant to own full-cycle accounting for seven construction subsidiaries. You will manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting while ensuring GAAP compliance. This on-site role in Apopka, Florida, reports to the Finance Director and works with project teams. Here, you will apply QuickBooks and Excel to daily close processes and month-end reports. What You'll Do8
- 1Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in QuickBooks and Sage.
- 2Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts monthly.
- 3Prepare financial statements and variance analysis for Kenpat Group leadership.
- 4Assist with month-end close and year-end audit preparation.
- 5Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries.
- 6Support project managers with job costing data from Procore.
- 7Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- 8Collaborate with the finance team to improve reporting workflows.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 23-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
- 3Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- 4Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- 5Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- 6Experience with Procore or Viewpoint is a plus.
- 7Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
- 8Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
