Sr. Principal Computer Systems Analyst, Windows
Overview
You will own the lifecycle of classified information systems at Northrop Grumman, managing multi-user Windows domains for government contracts. You will lead system operations, security compliance, and technical mentoring for a team of engineers. This role requires a Secret clearance and Security+ CE certification, with work on-site in Linthicum, MD. You will drive system enhancements and automation to improve performance and reliability.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead reliable operations of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with system engineers, network engineers, and IT management.
- 2Design and maintain Windows domain architectures, including Active Directory, GPOs, and permissions in classified environments.
- 3Implement system enhancements and automation to improve performance, including installation, patching, and monitoring.
- 4Ensure compliant backup and recovery services, manage file systems, and oversee virus protection.
- 5Test and oversee new product releases to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility.
- 6Develop and document technical processes and procedures for system administration.
- 7Troubleshoot issues across software, firmware, hardware, and networks, isolating root causes.
- 8Adhere to security guidelines, ensuring accurate audit and logging on all classified systems.
Requirements10
- 1Associate's degree with 10+ years relevant experience, or Bachelor's with 8+ years, or Master's with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years; high school diploma with 12+ years may substitute.
- 2Current Secret clearance with closed investigation within 6 years or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
- 3Obtain SAP/SAR clearance before start; maintain as condition of employment.
- 4Experience designing and maintaining Windows domain architectures, including Active Directory, GPOs, and permissions in classified environments.
- 5Meet U.S. Government 8140 requirements: current Security+ CE or similar certification.
- 6Experience with Windows Server administration: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, LDAP.
- 7Experience with NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG environments.
- 8Experience with networking: subnets, routing, VLANs, VTCs; Cisco experience or certification.
- 9Experience with system imaging, hardware installation, and virtualized environments.
- 10Experience with backup solutions like Cohesity or Veritas, and SAN storage.
